Manna from Heaven was founded in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic under the leadership of Bishop Leslie Patterson and Co-Pastor Dr. Francene V. Patterson. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to feed those in need and extend God’s love through service.
What began as an effort to serve families in Sterling quickly grew as we witnessed the vast reach of food insecurity throughout Northern Virginia and beyond. Today, with the generosity of volunteers, we provide nutritious meal boxes and essential items to over 200 families each month.
We invite you to be part of this life-changing mission. Whether you can pack boxes, distribute meals, or lend a helping hand in other ways, your time and compassion can make a real difference. Join us as we live out our faith, serve our neighbors, and bring hope to those facing economic and food insecurities.

FIRST STERLING FITNESS AT HOME
Exodus 15:2 tells us "The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him — my father’s God, and I will exalt him!" Through our spiritual strength; be it professional, physical, or spiritual, we lift ourselves to the glory of our father.

SERVICE THROUGH MINISTRY
Here at First Sterling it is our belief that we shall serve the Body of Christ, the congregation and the community through a spirit of giving and service to meet the needs of all those God brings to us. We offer ministries that meet the needs of God’s people and allow us to be servants of God’s purpose. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many.
